Root Causes.
How it began.
In an article written by Nathalie Fiset, she writes, “Deforestation and forest degradation occur in response to policy, market and institutional signals. It is the result of the interaction of many environmental, economic, social, cultural and political conditions in any given region.”
We Forest, an organization that devotes itself to planting trees and has so far planted around 12,753,439 trees wrote an article on root causes of deforestation. It said the most extreme levels of deforestation “have occurred within the boundaries of the poorest nations on earth.” It also said that this destruction is having devastating consequences, and “it is widely recognized that it is the poorest of the poor who will suffer the greatest impact.”
Deforestation is linked to corporations, laws, money, and industrial growth. All of these have made deforestation a global immense issue that affects all life on this earth.
